The RPM3 Jazz trio is devoted to personalized renditions of jazz classics, standards from the Great American Songbook, and Brazilian gems. The members are Bay Area jazz stalwarts and the band is highly swinging and guaranteed to warm you up.

Jazz guitarist/arranger/composer Tony Corman is a proponent of M3 guitar, asymmetrical system of tuning introduced in 1964 by jazz guitarist Ralph Patt. The M3 system opens the door to a set of beautiful sonorities that are unavailable or impractical with conventional tuning, and Tony exploits this system to reinvent and enrich both classic favorites by Ellington and Gershwin as well as hidden jazz and bossa-nova jewels.

Bassist Karl Hartmann is a freelance bassist/cellist in the SF Bay Area. He has recorded and performed with many jazz legends such as Louie Belson, Clark Terry, Michael Wolff, Bob Mintzer, Phill Woods, Bobby Hutcherson, Tom Harrell, Wayne Wallace, Bob Brookmeyer, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Gerald Wilson, Anthony Wilson, and many others as well as local jazz heavyweights. Karl also performs across the jazz spectrum, from Gypsy/Swing to Latin to Avant-Garde. In addition, he also performs and records classical, rock, folk, and musical theater.

Drummer Gerry Kennett is an active performer on the scene and a dedicated private instructor. Gerry also sings and plays harmonica, and has appeared with Jules Broussard, the Rat Pack Revue, JetBlacq, GroovaNova, and numerous other bands.
