“Kids Fly Free” Youth Plane Rides | Concord
Concord
Come to the EAA’s Young Eagles Rally on September 21st to give your kid(s) the opportunity of a lifetime. The members will give kids a ride in their airplanes for free. (We cover the operating costs.)
The purpose of this event is to open the world of Air and Space technology to youth in the Greater Bay Area, Sacramento, and beyond. This is to open up the world or recreational aviation to Bay Area kids- kids who have always wanted to fly but who never had the opportunity.
If your kid loves planes, if your kid loves the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, if your kid loves Science, or if your kid is simply curious about the world, then this is for you.
EAA393 Young Eagle flights take place in a wide variety of aircraft types and sizes. The itinerary of each flight can vary depending upon the preferences of the individual pilot and child. Most flights are in an aircraft that carries from one to three passengers. Young Eagles flights usually last from 20 to 45 minutes.
Space is limited so please come early. For more information, please call 925-813-5172.
Directions to Location Update: The usual “Google Drive” route to the clubhouse (via Sally Ride Dr.) might have closure for a water main repair. If this is the case, please enter Buchanan Field road from the intersection of Marsh Rd. and Center Avenue. From Center ave. at Marsh, go east on Center until Center ends at the fence (300 feet). Then turn left (north) and follow the windy road along the fence until you see a large parking lot in front of the tan-colored building with green trim. Sorry about any inconvenience.
